Between 21-24.09.2010, Astra Passenger Coaches Plc is attending international fair Innotrans in Berlin, together with the worlds most prestigious rail transport companies.
Welcome in Astra Vagoane Calatori SA booth hall3.2 stand 107 to meet our shareholders, members of the board and specialists, in order to discuss our actual and future project.
It became a tradition for our company ASTRA Vagoane Călători SA that each year at "Railways Days", to roll-on at least a new product, designed for the people who travel by train, in a creative effort of the complete specialists team to meet the requirements of the passengers at the highest level, fulfilling the increasing exigencies of the rail norms.

The forth time attendance of ASTRA at Innotrans'2008 Fair which is organized each two years at Berlin, was the best occasion to show ASTRA's products, services and solutions to an advised public, made only by specialists in rail industry. ASTRA booth was visited by a large number of people who expressed their interest in knowing and using ASTRA's offers, as actual and potential clients or suppliers of the necessary materials and equipment.
Beside the business meetings at a managerial and stockholder level with actual partners, ASTRA was approached and were made the first steps to establish new future cooperation with new companies, in order to develop new products and activities on new markets.
The autumn of 2008 was the moment for the habilitated organisms to issue the tops according to 2007 companies' economic results. The increasing trend of ASTRA in the last years was confirmed by the leading positions awarded to ASTRA in Romanian regional and national tops.
In the Top of Companies 2007, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture CCIA Arad awarded to ASTRA Vagoane Calatori 1st place on Industry - category Big Companies, and the Special Prizes "Trophy of Creativity" and "Trophy of Excellence" for being present in Top during last 5 years.
In the National Top of Private Companies in Romania 2007, the National Council of Private Enterprises in Romania (CNIPMMR) awarded to ASTRA Vagoane Calatori the 1st place in the Domain Top (cod CAEN 3520), 1st place in County Top - Big Companies, 38th place in National Top - Big Companies, and also the Special prize granted by WASME, respectively the Diploma for "New Jobs Creation" by CNIPMMR Arad.
The 2007-year is marking the entrance of ASTRA Vagoane Calatori, a company with 100% Romanian capital, in the TOP 50 of CNIPMMR, beside the big global companies Romanian subsidiaries.
ASTRA is preparing for it's forth consecutive participation at the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology - Innovative Components, Vehicles, Systems - INNOTRANS in Berlin, Germany, event that succeeds to bring together each two years more than a thousand five hundreds of exhibiting companies from all over the world and tens of thousands of specialists visitors.
It became a tradition the participation of each edition of INNOTRANS of ASTRA Vagoane Calatori SA as the leading company of Romanian passenger rolling stock industry.

In 2006, Astra Vagoane Calatori kept its leader position in rolling stock in Romania acquired in the previous years, and was awarded 1 st place in the main standings issued at end 2007 by responsible Romanian authorities.
In the National Top of Private Companies in Romania 2006, the National Council of Small and Medium Sized Private Enterprises in Romania (CNIPMMR) awarded to Astra Vagoane Calatori the 1 st place at the category Big Companies and Diploma for Quality in Rolling Stock. In the Top of Companies 2006, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Arad awarded to Astra Vagoane Calatori the1 st place at the category Big Companies, and also Diploma for Excellence for being in Top during last 5 years. Last but not least, in the Top of Excellence in Business 2006 made by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, the 1 st place at the category Industry - Construction and Repair of Rolling Stock, has also been awarded to Astra Vagoane Calatori.
Between 09-11. 10. 2007, Astra Passenger Coaches Plc is attending the railway summit "Railways Days" at Hotel Sofitel in Bucharest. Welcome in Astra stand for meeting our shareholders and members of the board.
In 09. 10. 2007, in the frame of the same event, ASTRA Passenger Coaches exhibits a train for SNTFC CFR Calatori consisting of last generation of new coaches type AVA200 EXPRESS, in a rolling stock exhibition organized in Gara de Nord Bucharest station. All aboard!
In the period 21-22 June 2007, ASTRA Vagoane Calatori SA has participated to the international exhibition INFRSATRANS’2007, held in Bucharest, on Gara de Nord train station platform. ASTRA exhibited at 13 a number of three coaches: saloon type 1st cl cod ADU equipped with minibar and WLAN Internet, saloon 1st cl cod ADJ and a wagon for transporting cars, all being in the composition of long distance trains of state Romanian Passenger's company CFR Calatori.
In the last UNIFE Presiding Bord meeting held in Brussels on March 14 2007, the company ASTRA Vagoane Calatori SA was accepted as UNIFE Member. ASTRA becomes the first Romanian company who joins as Member the exquisite club of European Rail Industry.

In November 2006, following the audit performed by AFER, ASTRA Vagoane Călători SA maintained its certification ISO 9001:2001 for Quality Management System, and get two new certifications, ISO 14001:2005 for implementation of the Environmental Management System and OHSAS 1801:2004 for implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Systems.
In October 2006, the main habilitated organizations made public their classifications, and awarded prizes and diplomas, according to the economic results obtained by the Romanian companies on 2005. The very goods performance of ASTRA Vagoane Calatori SA is emphasized in the Tops bellow:

All this top classification confirmed the continuity of the strong ascendant economic trend of ASTRA Vagoane Calatori SA, trend also confirmed in 2006 according to the economic results after the 3rd quarter.

On 02nd October 2006, it has been done the inauguration of the new administrative building of SC ASTRA Vagoane Calatori SA, in Arad. The central administration offices of ASTRA group are fitted with all necessary tools: Internet, fax, phone, and air conditioning. The Representative of Major Shareholder, Mr. Valer Blidar, together with the Executive Board of ASTRA, made the inauguration. At the inauguration attended local and central authorities representatives. The investment for the new administrative center is just a segment among the total investment done within the ASTRA group of companies. |

Between 19. 09 - 22. 09. 2006, it is organized the fair INNOTRANS' 2006 in Berlin, the most important international event in rolling stock. ASTRA Vagoane Calatori SA will participate for the third time consecutively at INNOTRANS' 2006, were it will show its last developments in rolling stock and components. Mr Valer Blidar – President of ASTRA group of companies, will lead the delegation of specialists who will participate at the fair. We will be glad to meet you, clients, suppliers and all our friends, at ASTRA Vagoane Calatori SA stand no 121, Hall 05.2 – Railway Technology, in order to show you our last developments in rolling stock and components, and to discuss further cooperation on rolling stock projects.
Between 6-7th June 2006, ASTRA Passenger Coaches SA will participate to the exhibition INFRATRANS 2006, organized in Gara de Nord station, Bucharest.
Mr. President Valer Blidar and a delegation of managers and specialists will show ASTRA developing projects and will be glad to answer to your questions.
